I am a professional philosopher and writer living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I’ve been a managing editor for a major journal, a copy editor at a major academic press, a lecturer at a mid-sized public university, an assistant teaching professor at a large technical university, and an assistant professor at a small liberal arts college. I am currently exploring new opportunities to grow as a scholar and educator.
I received my PhD in Philosophy from Villanova University in 2017. My research and teaching interests include ethics (normative and applied), Ancient Greek and Roman Philosophy (especially the thought of Augustine of Hippo), and the philosophy of love and sex.
I am currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Michigan Tech, where I teach Ethics, Bioethics, and Introduction to Philosophy. I am also a Benefits Advisor for AFLAC and have a Michigan and Georgia Insurance license.
